Hi All - Just new to this forum, but I am finding I do need some help. I have been suffering from Nausea and Heartburn ever since I have progressed to the soft food phase. Trying to find foods my body agrees with and keeping my energy levels up is quite difficult yet I continue to push forward every day.

I would love to hear from people who have also had these issues and what they have done to overcome them. I have been to the doctors about the heartburn, but I just want to feel good not tired or worried everytime I go to eat.

Thanks

Vanessa

Im 4 months out not sure if I can offer much help . My stomach did lots of different things at the beginning. It sounds like heart burn ,your stomach is getting use to processing soft foods. If your antacids aren't working maybe back off of the soft foods and go back to more liquids to get all your nutrients in. Some days my stomach was like "im not eating that" and Id go back to a shake ,then try again the next day. You have to take it day by day and pretty soon your knew tummy will be just like before only smaller. Good luck.

I found if I take nexium and Pepcid twice a day and eat Pepcid completes two times a day it puts the acid in check and I stay full . If I just do the nexium and Pepcid I feel the acid and it makes me feel hungry . If I just take my Pepcid twice a day I get real bad heartburn . Hope this info helps I just had my surgery may 30 2014

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
