So if my period is late, does that mean...

Recommended Posts

Okay so my period is over a week late...and I've been at the same weight for over a week (3 weeks post op). Would not getting my period maybe the reason why I'm not losing weight? :(

I'm getting enough Protein, Vitamins, Water, and etc.

Sigh...can't live without a period and can't live with either lol

Sometimes right after surgery your cycle schedule can be messed up because your body is adjusting. My first period post-op was very light but then went back to normal. Also I have stalled every few weeks since surgery. Week three is a big stall week for most people. The weight will keep dropping just give it a little time :) ........... Is there any chance you could be pregnant? I only ask because I just found out that I am and I am only 4 months post-op.

Hi Blues,

Try not to stress too much. Your body is in complete shock with only being 3 weeks post-op, & all the hormonal rhythms get disrupted. It's all normal to experience. I am not a steady weight loser --seems to be normal for me to not lose and then boom next week 5 pounds down. I always feel it in my body first before I see it on the scale. Clothes might feel loser or I can feel my ribs for the first time. Just keep going with the diet and give your body time to heal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
