What were some of the foods you are when you were finally allowed solid foods? I have been given the ok to have solids by my surgeon. Also been having some nausea & vomiting issues ( which MD is aware of). I'm taking it day by day and very slowly. Just wanted to get some ideas of what you all started eating.

Thanks!

I know there are other causes of nausea, but my only problem was when I was transitioning into solids and I thought I could have solids in Soup. I found that I was eating way too much in volume than my teeny tiny tummy could handle, not to mention, some were pretty rich. I went to basics and followed the 30 min before and 30 min after eating rule for liquids. As to what to eat? Experiment. My Fitness Pal has been a great tool once I was on solids. Protein first, then a veggie, then and only if there is room, starch/sweet. There has not been a food that I cannot eat, but the quantity is very small, to that end, I really have to focus on my protein. chicken, eggs, fish, beef and lean pork. cheese and deli meats are my quick go to.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
