Hi all....hoping some of you can help me here as both my medical team & I are stumped by what's been going on with me lately. I have been experiencing nausea & vomiting in the mornings when I wake up. Without being too terribly gross, it's either bile or saliva that I am getting sick on. I take a Zofran afterwards and typically feel better a couple hours later. I'm getting my fluids, Proteins and Vitamins in post morning vomit. MD checked labs and EKG all normal. Had a crummy holiday weekend because I felt ill. Next step since still having symptoms is to have an ultrasound of abdomen to see what's going on. It's been 5 weeks since surgery. It's so bad, I decided to pull back from solid foods and go back to softs to see if it made a difference. Supposed to go back to work next week. I can't imagine doing that with how I feel now every morning.

Has anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance!

Week and half after being sleeved on 5/30 I experienced nausea and dry heaving and ended up in the hospital for ten days! Pancreatitis was the first diagnosis and I Had to have my gallbladder removed the fourth day bc of the sludge they found which is caused from rapid weight loss... Removing gallbladder didn't take away the constant nausea and dry heaving after a scope down my throat and biopsy and many tests and X-rays one of the specialist recommended Ativan before bed time... Haven't had the constant nausea or dry heaving since I started it!!! I got out of the hospital on 6/27 and haven't been released to return back to work yet. But each day I'm getting better. Last week was really rough though

My surgeon and the his team of specialist had no idea what was wrong with me either. They found the sludge (which turns into gallstones) during the abdominal ultrasound. They also did some big X-ray of my gallbladder not sure of the name but i had to lay on this table for an hour it seemed. Let's just say I went thru hell for ten days hopefully they find your issue quickly. Mention Ativan it really helps. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
