Hello People!

I am in 18th day post-op today. Measured my weight.

In the first 10 days I had lost about 9 kgs. Right now my further weightloss has been only 3 kgs.

Do i need to change something?

You're most likely doing nothing wrong except weighing yourself to often.

You just had surgery and your body is trying to adjust to the shock still.

You will flexuate that's why I say don't weigh everyday. Do it once a week at the same time of day wearing the same thing each and every time.

You will be less likely to get frustrated with your progress and less likely to question yourself if you're doing the right things.

Be proud of yourself and the great thing you did for yourself.

Continued success on your journey.

I was losing a pound a day, and then suddenly one week out, I was losing four pounds a day! Three days of that, and I didn't lose anything for three days... this morning I weighed myself after a three day stall, and lost another 3 pounds. I think it is a strange hormone/pms/bowelm chain of events which cannot be considered on a daily basis. Think holistically in the greater scheme of things.

Sounds completely normal to me.

I happen to weigh myself every day that I'm home as I can't stand not knowing where I'm at.

I don't think I lost an ounce my first week, then dropped quickly for a couple weeks, slowed again for a week, started dropping steadily for a couple months, slowed again, etc...

While I'm only just over 4 months out, it still happens. Luckily, I've discovered that most of these times when the scale isn't moving, my clothing sizes are shrinking. I just had to go buy new pants on Monday as a matter of fact due to one of these stalls.

As long as you're getting your fluids, proteinm exercise and following the program that your surgeon and nutritionist suggest, you should see the progress pick up again as soon as your body is ready.

In my program they suggest to call if we ever see more than a 3 week period of zero loss (during the honeymoon phase), but luckily I've not experienced that long of a stall yet

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
