Where are all my May Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Sleeved May 5, down 35 lbs including preop loss. Feeling discouraged. I'm at a stall at 170, but I've also been on two long weekend mini vacations and probably not eating the best. I have been exercising consistently and calories staying around 800-900/day. I gotta get back on track just need a little motivation ...

My biggest problem is getting my Water in. Have never had to throw up, but eating to much or to fast is uncomfortable and has made me consider throwing up.

Sleeved May 29 and down 34 pounds since surgery, 54 total. Had a stall week 3 and now another one this week. Same weight every day for a week. I limit my carbs to under 30 per day, get in at least 60 grams of Protein and drink Water constantly. Ive lost inches and like wearing normal clothes. Right now I'm shopping in my own closet and having fun finding old/new clothes again.

I don't think I'll hit onderland by my vacstion but hope to be there by the time I get home. A week of walking on the beach, snorkeling and eating fresh fish has to help! It will be weird not to weigh myself every day while I'm gone.

Surgery was 5/12/14 & I'm down 45 lbs. Yay! So happy I did this. Haven't had any issues with any food I've tried. Saw my surgeon yesterday & she's happy with my progress. Tossed out all my 3x shirts but still wearing my size 24 pants but they are getting baggy. Washed all my old size 22 & 20 pants so I have pants to wear. I'm retired so I don't have to worry about work outfits. That helps with the clothing budget.

Onward & downward everyone.

Hi May Sleevers! Wanted to check in with everyone and see your progress. I feel great, been taking ballet classes (childhood pastime) and clothes fit great. Finally wearing a size 12. I really do t mean to complain but I have been the. Same weight for over a month. Anyone else experience this? Just wondering if the weight loss is over.

I was sleeved may 5th and am down 75lbs. I did stall for about 3 weeks, but I'm back on track now. Almost out of my 12s and headed for my next goal of fitting into my wedding dress I wore 14 years ago! I don't regret a day and I'm enjoying my new found energy and active life!

I feel like I'm stalled too bit try to focus on what's important and not get too stuck on the numbers on the scale. I guess we didn't gain it over night either. So I'm hovering around 58 pounds right now. It's hard to think maybe this is it. I'm not even half way to my goal. Hang in there May sleevers. Lots of reasons to celebrate!

I was sleeved May 20th and am down 55lbs. I've been at a stalling point for about 3 weeks. I just keep eating my Protein and working out. I even bought a treadmill :) It can be defeating at times-like I thought maybe the weight would come off faster and easier-but this is marathon not a race. I'm down to a size 16 (4 sizes!!) and love how much more energy I have. I struggle getting in all my fluids daily as well, but I'm trying my best as am sure all of you are! Great job everyone and congrats on all of your successes ( scale and non scale)!!

Howdy!

I used to literally hate, and don't hate me for it, but hate how people referred to this decision as the best decision ever. I guess it all is about life's experiences. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't feel that way, but I get it May-ers! This summer has been awesome! I never realized how few pictures I took until I started allowing myself to be in more. We'd go to shows and be invited on stage and I said, hey why not. Would not have happened before! I've just been living differently, same person, but a little louder I suppose.

For reference (not comparison, please), female, 5'10," and about a size 10. The doctor asked me to be in his commercial (I'll never be that loud - not happening), but it was a feel good moment. No doubt, the surgery did more than help, but I exercise like a nut so I sometimes allow myself to be happy not for this medical procedure but also for what I did with it.

Let's keep it going!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
