Week 6: May 27-31st Sleevers

We are beginning week 6! We count surgery week as week 1 so everyone should be completing their 5th week of their brand new tummy!

I've been traveling a lot the last few weeks and it is a HUGE eye opener to how little I can eat now. I survived a buffet by having a few bites of some different things, and paid for far too much money for meals that I couldn't take home leftovers and it looks like I didn't eat a thing off the plate. I think one of the hard things for me is that a plate of food comes and it looks so good and I want to devour it! I get slightly depressed I'll only get to enjoy a few bites. Yet after about 1/4 cup I'm stuffed and full and push the plate away and don't want another bite, which is AWESOME!! I'm assuming the odd depression right when the plate comes out will pass. At least when I'm at home I can box the left overs right away and then it might not seem so bad. I never thought much about the money being saved on food, but holy cow its gotta be a ton.

So I'm curious... how many are sticking to super low carb, vs those who are just watching calories/letting restriction do its job.

How many are working out a ton and how many are waiting?

Whats your favorite meal at this point?

And I'd like to continue habsi's question; what pills/multivitamins is everyone taking daily?

devint I loved your idea for putting up averages etc!! I've added mine and included those who weighed in last week. Hopefully we can get everyone to weigh in Monday or Tuesday next week and see our numbers skyrocket!

It's sooo nice to see everyone's updates!!! Love reading how we are all doing

I can't believe we are almost 2 months in !!! It's flown byyyy

You are all aware of my sugar addiction every day is a battle for me and everyday I try and stop myself I will weigh myself on the 1st morn that exactly 2 months for me (sleeved 31st) I would hopefully have lost something of significance

I have been exercising so my body is changinging

I used to wear a size 14 us (18 uk) but think I actually should've been a 16/20 because it was soooooo toght on me which is why I can still wear most if it now... I want to go back to significant drops like the first month hehehehhe

Ate too much for dinner. We got baby back ribs to go and they were so good I just kept poking in pieces of meat. I don't eat bread or fries or anything except protein right now but I'm so full, like the meat is expanding. 2 months after surgery, when will I learn not to eat too much or too fast...

I think a lot of us probably do!! But bravo to you for only eating protein. I need to be better about that.

I didn't mean to only eat protein but since I can only eat about 1/4 cup of food per meal, I can't eat anything after I eat my meat and some cheese. My snacks are 1 Tbsp almond or peanut butter or a few almonds or parmesan crispies so I decided just to run with the protein-centric diet. I'm older, slower metabolism and there was a post about a honeymoon period of 6 - 12 months where weight loss is easier and then losing gets harder so I decided to give it my all for the first 6 - 12 months and then worry about maintaining after that.

I'll need to learn how to eat regular food eventually but for now, I'm pretty happy and healthy and taking vitamins and getting in my protein and liquids so... I can't ever plan a meal around bad, white carbs again but I'll find other good food to eat instead.

I lose so slowly, one pound every other day or so, and feels like forever but better than I've ever done before so shut up, Laurie, you are getting there and succeed at this.

Haven't checked in on here for awhile now. Great to see how well everyone is doing! Here is my progress. First pic is one week before surgery (5-28 surgery) and second pic is last Friday.

Everyone seems to be doing really well. This is a week one pic and a week 6 I believe. I'm now down 56lbs and under 300! So exciting. My mom threw me a party to celebrate yesterday, so it's great to have that support. Entering week 9, I want to concentrate more on proteins and veggies only. I've veered off the diet path slightly by eating a lot of Udon soup, but it has so much sodium. Problem is, it's the only thing I'm really hungry for. I'm eating every two hours it seems like. Still losing weight, but want to lose faster! Finally ran at the gym for 6 mins! So happy about this new life I've made. Happy Sunday y'all!

I live in the US but I am currently in Morocco, North Africa for 3 weeks. I have not been logging on My Fitness Pal as their food is very different and a lot of items do not even have a nutrition label. I am just winging it for these 3 weeks. I do not have a scale either so I will be curious how much I weigh when I get home.

Well today went to the dr today it's official may 30 2014 was 357 as of July 29 2014 I am 306 ! 51 pound weight loss !

69 days out but the dr call it one month out for some reason !

New diet I get to start yay

Interesting that your protein drinks don't count towards you liquid goals for the day. Why would that be?

I do not know why , I think the shakes have no hydration factors

You guys, I'm under 100 kilo! Still 19lb away from being under 200lb, but I'm thrilled to be under 100 kilo for the first time since 2010. When I'm under 200lb, then it'll really be time to celebrate...

Ok so this day 100. I start counting from the day i had to do my Protein diet which is april 28th, my surgery was on may 26th.

So 100 days later i am down by 55 lbs. Its mostly apparent in my butt, so let me show you my ass, before and after. Lol

Now i have to keep these stupid clothes for ever...the pants are strecht pants

It's apparent in your butt, but also very apparent in your back! Great job!
