The time has come. Restless night...so excited. I'm awake 3 hours early but I'm so ready for this day. Surgery at 7:40am Pacific Standard time.

A new life awaits me...!

Checking on all the ones that was sleeved aug 1 and 4 I pray all ya doing well

The ones for today aug 5 yay! I am so happy praying for all of ya. Mine is Monday aug 11, today is day 2 of preop diet.

Thinking of all of you who have had your surgery!!

I'm scheduled for the 25th and starting a super low carb pre-op diet tomorrow. Lucky to not have a liquid diet pre-op, just under 20 carbs a day.

I just got back from my final weigh in at the surgeons office and I am 69 lbs lighter and have surgery on August 11 at 11:45 so excited can't believe I made it this far been a long 6 months.

I'm on Day 9 of my Optifast pre-op diet. I can't believe that my surgery is just 6 days away. August 11th can't get here soon enough.

Hi all I am August 7th really nervous now. Best of luck too you all

My is on Aug 7 as well .. Starting to get nervous .gonna pack tomorrow ! Best of luck to everyone :)

Hey All, hope everyone is doing fine and dandy. My surgery is Aug 7.... day after tomorrow. I have been on the 2 week liquid pre op diet, so far so good (not really, but trying to be positive here, lol).

What does everyone's Day before Surgery day look like? Do you have to do a bowl cleanse? I am just required to only be on clear liquids, no red jello, can have broth.

Aug 7th our day is almost here. Do not have to be at the hospital until 11:00, going to be a very long day until they wheel me in surgery.

Sending good vibes to all who have already gone before, and the ones who will go tomorrow, and of course all of my surgery buds who will be taking this journey on Thursday.

Laura

Just a little TMI self-report on Day Two of the two-week preop diet (first week is two shakes and a Lean Cuisine).

1. Nothing awful, but it's a headache day (and I NEVER have headaches).

2. Honestly, I feel a little flu-ish, too.

3. One other thing -- they should call this "the pee diet." I must've peed 3 gallons already today. (It's my liver using up glycogen and shedding water. So that's good.)

Over and out.

Day 5 post op - today I am really tired, after traveling yesterday. But I am working to get my fluids in & get in some activity!

I don't have much pain & my gas pains are very minimal. My phone has been going off like crazy, with a few family/friends checking on me! Which is nice. Everyone has been very encouraging!

Those is of who have surgery coming up...the best advice I can give is BE POSITIVE. Know your surgery will be a success & this IS the solution for your life in the long term!

Keep a positive attitude & you will do great! Know the anxiety will subside & so will pre-op diets & gas pains!

August 26 - just hope Insurance Company approves. My Dr does not require a pre-op diet - just the day before? Am I the only one?

I'm home from the hospital and feeling pretty good!
