Hey all - never chatted much before but have been reading lots! I worked up today a sleeved woman...with my new stomach named Sally!

Good luck to each of you preparing for surgery. It's been a very positive experience for me at Obesity Control Center w/ Dr. Ortiz.

Soreness & some deep gas bubbles, but nothing unbearable. Been able to get water, ice chips, Popsicles & broth in.

Congratulations to all that had their surgery on Aug 1.

Surgery on Monday! Trying to get everything taken care of this weekend to come home to a clean, prepared home. Congrats to all yesterday, and best wishes to everyone with approaching dates!

My date is the 12 th of August. I am so excited it just seems to taking forever to get here.

For whatever reason I'm off the list again! August 5th. Sorry to be a pest.

Anyway, the night hunger disappeared for me after some dietary adjustments (cottage cheese instead of yogurt and bottled Slim-Fast with fiber instead of EAS; it's still only around 60 total carbs per day).

Broth tip: make it spicy.

My surgery is Aug 5

Congratulations to all of the August 1 folks! I'm getting closer and closer. I've been preparing... ordered more Unjury shakes, cleaned out the pantry and freezer, bought a nightgown for the hospital and two long stretchy dresses for recovery. I never wear dresses, but figured it would be better than buying new work pants as I drop in sizes and they were really cheap at Ross. Also got a bunch of yard work done, weeding and hedges trimmed. WHEW.

What's everyone else doing to prepare?
