I am in a levis size 12 and wrangler size 10 and I weigh 152. This is perfect for me and I don't plan on dropping anymore than another 5 pounds for a little "wiggle room".

I was a 16 or 14 at my heaviest, 226. I now am 204, and still in my 14's. Luckily, I have many 12's and some 10's in my closet from 5 years ago that will get me through until I reach my goal, and can go shopping for 8's. (Hoping) :)

I'd say (off the top of my head) that I was a comfortable 16 from about 190-210. Tighter at the 210 point, for sure, but I could still squeeze into the jeans. I went down to 14 around 190, and can still wear that (at 177) though they are loose in dress clothes. I have a number of items that fit well in 12s now.

My observation is that denim is a full size lower. So, my 12s in denim are quite loose, and I can wear 10s. I expect that when I drop below 170 I will go down another size.

My observation is that in the 200s I was at the 16W size pretty frequently, 185 and up to about 205 I was roughly in a 14W, 16…and now that I'm in the 100s it's roughly 10-15 pounds per size. Clear as mud, right? LOL

That's true, height is huge. So, I'm 5'5" and therefore pretty "average." But if you're 5'10" and 177 I would bet the size would be smaller.

Well, when I started this journey I was 235 and in an 18. I've not really kept track on the way down, but today, I'm at 149 and wear a 4 or a 6 which is much smaller than what I ever expected. I'm 5'6" tall. I still have a few pounds to go. At this rate, I'll end up in a 2!

Height, and also body composition - where you carry your weight. I'm also 5'5" last time I was in an 18 pant I was right around 240. Currently I am at 264 and in an 18/20 top, but hovering between a 22 and 24 in pants. I don't have a lot in the boob department, but a lot of weight around my tummy and hips.

I am 5'3" and weight 151 pounds. I am extremely fortunate to be very well proportioned. Big ass, big boobs, skinny waist. My build is on the stocky muscular side, I've never been willowy, even when I was a size 0 cheerleader, so....

Most 8s are too big, my 6s are getting loose and 4s turn me an odd shade of blue.

I was a size 20 at 268 pounds, a size 16 at 200 pounds, a size 12 at 185, and a size 10 at 165 pounds. Every store is different, though, that's just an average. :)

I'm 5 ft 8, balanced figure (curvy jeans fit me best) 38C 189lbs size 16 misses in jeans (as opposed to women's) 14 or 16 in dress clothes. XL in compression type workout pants, XL/L in fitted workout tank tops.

There is a difference between 16W and 16 misses. 16W is cut more generously. Seemed to take me forever to move from the bottom of the women's sizes to misses sizes. For a long time 14W fit me better while a 16 misses gapped at my waist. I still have that jean gap problem sometimes.

I am 5 ft 6 and, when I weighed 232 lbs., I wore a size 20W. Now, at 166 lbs., I am a size 12.

Wow!!! Very intersesting!! I think Height and the way we are shaped play a huge role! At my highest 245 i wore 18/20 top and 16 bottoms!! At 160 pounds i wore a 10 top and size 8 bottoms, my waist is small, boobs are big and I am 5'5

Just goes to show weight and clothes size is not necessarily correlated, even taking height into account.

I am 5' 5" and also exactly 151, but I wear a size 10 or 12 pants. When I was 238, I wore a size 22. I am muscular and big framed, but unfortunately lost my boobs and ass after surgery.

I'd LOVE to lose a little boob, but that has not yet been in the cards. Sigh.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
