I was sleeved on May 7th; my weight on day of surgery was 265 - I'm currently at 230 and I'm very happy with my success so far. I'm feeling so much better and my 'bad' knee no longer hurts! All the weight loss has been without me excersizing at all.

I have osteoarthritis and have severe issues with my hip. I've just been given a total hip replacement surgery date of 8.18.14.

I'm looking forward to having the surgery, and healing from it so I can begin doing some excersizing to increase my health, stamina and weight loss.

Having this surgery has been the best decision I've ever made. Congratulations to all.

Ok MAY Sleevers it's time for our 3 month roll call. What's your weight loss? What's your greatest challenge? What's your biggest surprise at this point in your journey? Answer all three questions. So, I was sleeved May 22. I'm down 56 lbs from 230 to 174. My challenge-learning what my body simply wants to reject. My surprise-actually learning to enjoy exercise!

Sleeved 5/5 and weight loss has been slow but steady. I'm down 40 lbs (lost 6 on preop diet). I'm still exercising 2-3x a week, limit carbs and staying between 800- 1000 calories a day.

I was sleeved on May 6th, so I'm closer to four months than three, but I'm down about 50 pounds, from 231.8 pre-op. I'm now hovering around 180, but can't seem to break into the 170's!

My biggest challenge has been spicy foods. I love them, but since surgery they have not loved me... but that doesn't stop me from wanting to eat them!

My biggest surprise is just how normal I feel! I thought it would be this huge life-adjustment, but since I've been on "normal" foods, I really just eat smaller portions of just about everything. I still count Protein to make sure I'm getting enough in, but other than that, (and the hair loss) I could almost forget that I had surgery!

I was sleeved 5/22. Down just over 65lbs. 35lbs more to go to hit goal! I feel great! My weight loss has slowed which is frustrating. I'm down, then up a little, then down again, then up again. I weigh everyday.

I'm surprised by how little food you can consume and still function normally. I have no appetite or stomach for the foods I used to eat which can make going out to dinner difficult. I've learned to live off eggs, chicken and seafood. I have no room anymore for Breads, pastas, etc... I miss them but hate how they make me feel if I eat them.

Congrats to you all!!!

Howdy kids. I'm down 75 lbs. 95 from my highest weight ever (sleeved on Cinco de mayo - 5/5 - if you recall). My labor day goal was to be 235. I'm 240. I thought 235 was a stretch, but I'm pretty close. Hell, if I lose one more lb and get into the 230s before then I'll be happy.

I was a band to sleeve revision on May 8th. My start weight was 231 when I started the whole process. I was 216 day of surgery. I am now 176. So down 40lbs since may 8th and 55 all together. I feel great, I have a ton of energy. I don't have cravings like before. I did just find out that I am Iron deficient so I going to have to take pills for a bit but that's ok. I haven't been able to get in a lot of green veggies and red meat yet.

I forgot to say my biggest challenge and surprise. The biggest challenge is trying to be patient with my stalls. I am just so afraid the scale will not go down anymore I have been stuck for almost a month. The biggest surprise is how normal I feel almost 4 months out now. Also how much energy I have at times is astounding considering I needed naps everyday prior to surgey.

I have lost 40 lbs since my surgery on May 12 and 82 lbs since January. My biggest challenge has been getting used to my decreased capacity at mealtimes. I get full so fast that I often don't enjoy eating. Since I'm pretty hedonistic, this is disappointing. My biggest surprise is that although I am 60, I'm no longer as old as I thought I was. I am now riding a bike for transportation and exercise and routinely walk rather than drive.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
