I Need Help From Experienced Banders

Recommended Posts

1 week post op. Following all the rules. How do I know this thing is working? Nothing feels different. I know I should feel full but I don't think I have even eaten enough at one time to feel full. I am scared. How do I test it? Do I test it. I can have pureed food now so I had a purreed egg with mayo took me 40 min to eat eat small bite at a time. Then had some purreed meat later in the day same way. I didn't feel any different.

I think I am loosing my mind. Depressed today. Please tell me what to feel. I need some experienced advise.

thanks

:faint:

No one can tell you what or how to feel. But at one week out I would not "testing" my band at all.

The first 4 to 6 weeks are all about healing, not about weight loss, or feeling very much at all.

Some people will feel their restriction right out of the gate, others can take a few fill to even feel the band restricting the way they eat at all. But again, at one week out, this is not where you are at. You should be focused on healing.

If you have concerns, I really would be talking to your doctor / surgeon about the way you are feeling.

Best of luck.

THANKS for the great advise. I will just take it slow and heal. Just a breif moment of panic. You guys here are the ones I know I can come to and get answers quickly. Thanks again. I will take all of your tips. Just came back from GNC trying their Isopure zero carb drink. 40gm Protein in a apple melon flavor, clear liquid. So far very good. Good liquid and Protein. I will relax and if I remember to breathe I will get through.

Thanks again for quick response.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
