Week 3: May 27-31st Sleevers

Happy week 3 everyone!

Sorry I'm a day late, I fell asleep! I'll update this first page later tonight after I go through and add in the new people and the updates from Surgery day weight lost! If you didnt post it in the thread or PM it to me, you can do that today and Ill update it. It will be fun to look back at old weekly threads and see where you were as the weeks go on :)

By now pretty much everyone should be feeling good, not on pain meds and either still enjoying a rest or back to work. Its amazing its already been a few weeks. My doc is so particular about food timing with the new stomach to let it heal so Im still on liquids until next Wednesday (blah). But Ive started being creative, licking a spoon of peanutbutter like a popsicle is heavenly. Only get in about a teaspoon but its satisfying for sure! Do you have some recipes you have tried?? Do share! I'm excited for purees and look forward to sending some chilli through my Ninja to puree it a little. You better believe thats my dinner next Wednesday night!

A few are in a mini stall right now. Just be patient, drink some Water, and maybe walk a little if you haven't yet. If you are already walking a lot and stalling, upping your calories may help with the stall, get an extra Protein drink in.

Good luck this week everyone! We have an amazing group!

(names will go here with weight lost since surgery *lylabelle (-14)*

Hrhlaurie - so we are the same height. I haven't seen 150lbs since 8th grade and I am almost 46!! Is it weird that my doc and I never discussed goal weight, weight loss amount, anything like that? I just feel like I have no idea what the different weights are like so I will know when I get there!!

Well, he only mentioned it at my 2 week check up. His first goal for me is 40 pounds in first 3 months. He didnt tell me toget to 150, just that I might want to stay above 150.

I will see what he says next meeting. I did my 1 week post op and now I can't get in til July 9th cuz of the holiday the week before. Surgery was 5/28. Will see what happens

Hey everyone.

All is well on my end, an I'm excited to be on this journey with you all. I was sleeved May 28th an I'm down 23 lbs from day of surgery. I was loosing then I grained 3 lbs back but I think because it's my TOM (I no TMI)

Also my 2 week follow up is in the morning so I will post how that goes tomorrow. Hopefully he will clear me to be able to work out am do more than walk. My arms are jiggly an want to stop that before it gets bad!

Good night everyone;)

I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I've lost 10kg as of today I think that's about 20 pounds? I'm excited and can start seeing small differences it's awesome!!!! I can't wait to lose more

I'm on mush food which is kind of hard for me as I don't know how to eat healthy like this .. I just keep eating mashed potato - dr said one more week of mashed and then I can move to normal food just be careful

I don't get much post op feedback from my dr so I'm making an appt with a dietician on Sunday to see if she can guide me I don't want to mess up for lack of information you know

I get fuzzy brain still my surgery was may 30 ..

I also get really tired when I eat something .. Like my blood surger goes up ..

And I need a nap any one else

I just experienced awfulness, threw up my vitamins because my stomach was empty. First time that's happened! Gonna have to take it easy today, TGIF.

I spent a few days at 237 and now a couple of days at 236 so not sure why the major slow down. I'm putting away my scale amd only going to weigh once a week on Fri morning from now on. Seeing Nut today so maybe she'll have some ideas for letting my metabolism up.

I went to my post-surgery doctor appt yesterday. He said it was just a response to the anesthesthia and will go away. It may take another week or two. I did transition to pureed (yuch) foods yesterday and having something more substantial helped with energy and thinking.

How much/far are you guys walking now?

Guys can you pls give me a typical days food ? Like what you eat for the day .. For me to get ideas of food and of quantity thanks on advance

Hi. My Dr. never talked about a goal weight. He just he wants our bmi out of the unhealthy range. So for me that's anything under 150. I'm 213 today. 63 lbs to go. It doesn't seem unrealistic for the first time in long long time.

Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it's been over two weeks out now. I feel amazing! I still can't get in my liquids but I'm trying every day. Here's my stats:

HW 355

SW 350

CW 324

Whoop!! Can't wait to be back in the 200's!! Good luck ya'll!!!

Everyone has lost so much since surgery. I've only lost 11 pounds and the scale hasn't moved in four days. I trust the process and I'm getting all my fluid and about 70g of protein a day, but I just hope I'm not one of those really slow losers...

Habsi what can you eat now as we all had surgery the same week but all our diets seem to be At different phases. I have a scrambled egg with asparagus And shred cheese around 6am then usually yogurt around 9 then lunch of deli sliced chicken and a string cheese at noon then some snack around 2 or 3 and dinner may be egg muffin or a shake or something. It depends on where I am with my protein. I throw a shake in there where I need to. I went back to work this week and have walked 10,000+ steps a day - my goal is to do that a MINIMUM of 5 days a week. Hope that helps.

We are in the same boat. I'm I down 12 lbs since the 29th. I had a 5 day stall. It's moved slightly the last few days. Ounces still matter. This is when I would of thrown in the towel before cause it didn't seem worth it. I'm glad this took is here to support me.
