Hey all! So I have started, well yesterday, doing the 5 day pouch test. Anyone doing it now? Thinking about doing it?

I think I maybe should try doing it, since I have been on a long stall. What exactly are the "rules"? I have seen the term around some posts, but not specific directions how to proceed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I too have wondered about this. I am not really sure why it is done, or WHY I would want to do it. (Not being judgemental, just stating that this intrigues me, and I would love to hear from people as to why they did it.)

I am losing slow, but I often hear people using this tool to get back to the basics to gain control over their eating again.

My issue, as to why it may not help me, is

I do have an extremely healthy diet and follow a lot if not all the rul. ...... um ok, some I don't follow hehe

For those interested it can be found here

I am so curious about this.

How is it going for you, I would love to hear form you <3

I would probably do it, if it breaks my stall ;)

Go for it... I have heard people argue against it but my personal opinion is that if it breaks your stall or helps you get back to the basics of why you had this surgery in the first place then it's a good idea.

Good luck and let us know how you go :)

The five day pouch test takes you through an abbreviated version of each post op food stage. My WLS team says there's no harm in it and it can help people get back on track or break a stall.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
