What foods made you dump?

I'm a week postop, I have heard the horror stories of dumping syndrome but have yet to experience this. Please share some of your dumping culprits!

Literally ate 4 grapes and "dumped" for 2 hours. My body rejects cheese but not really dumping. I'm very sensitive to sugar and even meats started tasting sweet for a couple of weeks. I stay on a very low sugar intake diet now.

I've heard grapes were a no-no because they contain a lot of sugar. Also, it seems to be common for RNYer's to become lactose intolerant - maybe that's why cheese is bothering you? I'm watching my sugar intake much more carefully, now, after my lapse resulted in dumping. :-)

I dumped on kettle cooked potato chips. It was a lesson for me to stick with the plan :o

Don't know if I'm lucky or cursed but nothing makes me dump not sugar, fat carbs or grease.. 10 months out I can eat anything which I was hoping would not happen I wanted to dump when I had those weak moments and turned to old habits, at this point I almost feels like I never had surgery and I still struggle everyday with my food demons ????

I'm four weeks post-op, So i had this happen last night :( i bought a queso dip with small pieces of chicken, so i had like 4 bites last night and spent the whole night in the bathroom! The thing is everytime i eat chicken i feel the same thing! Its hard enough getting all the protein in , without chicken its gonna be hard.

Falafel

Don't rush to many foods, can you do eggs, cheese or yogurts... you may have to give chicken a break and try again in a few weeks

I think from reading everyone's responses that dumping can sometimes be different for everyone. Which makes me nervous. I wish there was a list of foods that they could give you to avoid that worked for everyone.

Absolutely right. It seems we all have our kryptonite and it changes for everyone. I know my program stressed avoiding fats, sugars and carbs. Other than an early issue with ketchup I've had no other issues as I've followed those suggestions religiously. Some day i may get brave and try some fruits or other natural sugar foods but i know I'll avoid those fats and simple carbs as long as humanly possible.

Don't let all our our stories worry you. You'll find some things that don't work and hopefully many more that do. I'd recommend trying new potentially risky things when you know you'll be home though just in case.

I dumped once, when i ate a whole slice of pizza...o.m.g. Never experienced soo much pain in stomach area. Thought i was going to explode. Thank god it only lasted bout 45 min... Bread is a no no for me.....

I dumped on hot chocolate. Got it from the concession stand at my son's football game. Must have had too much sugar. I will never make that mistake again!!!
