Finally Banded, don't want you to get your hopes up too high...because it is different for all people...but the first fill normally doesn't really restrict you much...at first this is merely another diet you have to be really mindful of what you are eating, how much you are eating and how slowly you are eating and chew, chew, chew. As for the procedure itself...that differs too...my port is in my left chest area...so they use Lanacane to numb you up and then give you a the shot with the saline in it. hope you feel something good with it!!!

Yes, everyone is different. For me I felt good restriction for about 2 weeks after my first fill (due to swelling I'm sure) and then after that I was starving more than before I got the fill. Went in for my next follow-up appointment and got another fill and I haven't had one since and I'm a year out so.....

My experience was similar to Mike. I really didn't start to feel restriction until after my 3rd fill. I didn't realize that was normal until I came on here and read about it. You still have to use a lot of will power and self control to control the amount you are eating. But stay positive because the next fill will come before you know it!

Do not expect to feel 'restriction' or get to the 'green zone' after one fill. It is not unheard of, but it is not the norm. Until you get to the green zone you have to fake it til you make it...measure, measure, measure. It is not easy, but neither was having surgery. Best wishes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
