14 Months Out and Counting!

Recommended Posts

Hello All! I hope this post finds everyone doing well. Just a brief note to help those in their journey. I'm 5'3.75" I've always been a thicker girl and packed on the pounds a few years ago due to some antidepressants I was on. I had the sleeve and have done my best to follow all the rules and use the tool as an opportunity for an overall lifestyle change. I've lost approximately 90 pounds. But I still felt "FAT" at times. I love my new body but felt there were problem areas I could target to lose more weight. I did notice, however, my rib cage, hip bone and collar bone were starting to be quite pronounced. It has never been my goal to be "skinny". I just want to be healthy and fit. So I did a little research and found these charts that helped me gain perspective. I am actually, scientifically large framed aka Big Boned. Which I found rather hilarious but it's true. And I am actually at a normal body weight! Which was news to me. For any frustrated losers out there, do the measurements and verify this BEFORE you drive yourself insane. Lol.

You look so great! Thanks for the charts. I'd see them before and def using as I have a large frame so my goal is more realistic. Nice thread.

There has always been truth about whether a person is small, medium, and large framed. You can find a measurement scale to find out for yourself on the web. I recently found out that I am medium framed when all along I thought I was 'big boned' HA! Same as you, I don't want to be skinny, I like curves, so the chart says I should be around 165-170 at my frame and I'll be happy around 180-185.

You do look absolutely fabulous!

Thank you all! I'm very thankful for my tool and the fact that I don't have a ton if excess skin. Just wish I could make my tummy and thigh flab magically disappear. Lmao. Oh well perhaps I'll hit the lotto and be able to afford plastics.

I wanna wear one of those someday and parade around somewhere!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
