Looking for July Sleevers!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am on day 3 of my pre op diet and have only lost 1.4 pounds, hope to see a bigger drop tomorrow. The dr only wanted me to lose 5 to 7 lbs before surgery. I am sure I can do it. I have been having lots of stomach cramps today and Constipation. My surgery is on the 15thmin Los Angeles at usc keck. We have to be there at 5:15 am for surgery at 7:15. This is going to sound totally silly but I am really looking forward to not going to work and taking naps.

Cheryl

Well surgery is over and im feeling ok. The pain is more from gas because they fill you with gas to see what they are doing. The tiny incisions were glued closed. Feeling optimistic

It's 7 am.. I'm up and ready to get this thing underway.. My surgery is set for 11:00.. I'm anxious..

Trying to primp this morning as much as I can not being able to wear makeup.. LOL.. Seems like that's the last thing I should be thinking about.. But a girl still wants to look as cute as she can!.

I feel like there is a happy ending to a long struggle.. My Son told me it will all be worth it in the end Mom.. I wish good luck to all you sleevers today and tomorrow and the future..

"A NEW HAPPIER HEALTHY YOU"

Thinking of you and hope all went well, can't wait to hear your news! Pain free healing being sent your way!

Well I'm home. It has been ok. I was in a pretty good amount of pain the first 24 hours but morphine always helps. I'm getting down my Water have had 1/2 a Popsicle twice today. I feel that is progress. I'm now off all pain meds just some liquid baby Motrin. It helps with soreness. All in all I believe it was successful. I will post more updates for you guys.

Denise Sizemore

I had my surgery on Monday and you seem like you're already doing better than me! Rolled over in my sleep last night on to my tummy and I'm definitely paying for it today! Glad to hear you're doing good!(:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
