Recommended Posts

On Thursday, 5/29 my paperwork was submitted to Aetna..on 6/2, that next Monday - I was already approved! Same day I got my approval, I was scheduled for surgery on 6/26! I'm so excited, completely feel ready for this and if anyone is also scheduled on/around the same date, feel free to friend me or message me!

Can't wait for my spot on the losers bench!!

I am scheduled for the sleeve on June 23. I start my 2 week pre-op liquid diet tomorrow. Will definitely be glad to get that over with but understand it's just part of the process. We are getting so close to surgery dat! Good luck!

Good luck on your preop diet - I'm on day 12 of my liquid Optifast preop diet. Worst part is dreaming about the food I'd love to eat lol! It's mind over matter so I just keep thinking how eating this delicious looking food is what got me here in the first place...I haven't strayed one bit - even cooked dinner for my husband a couple times! :). Let us know how it goes and if you need anything!!!

I also had my surgery on June 26. lost 10 lbs after surgery. I have not lost any weight for a week now. A little upset but I will get through. Just have to have faith.

I also had my sleeve on 6/26. So far so good. I think I've lost about 25 lbs since 6/24 (my pre-op clear liquid start date).

I am on the pureed foods part of the post op diet now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
