Week 2: May 27-31st Sleevers

Can you believe we all have tini-tiny stomachs now? What a week its been. Some have had remarkable painfree success and some have been downright miserable. At this stage everyone is in totally different places as far as food/liquid/nutrition. For those on Clear liquids for awhile longer, if you didn't know, Isopure makes a clear drink thats 40g Protein. Its sold at some GNC stores. Might help get some protein in while being kind to your new stomach.

I hope by the end of this week everyone is feeling fantastic!

Here is the run down! I have an idea, let me know what you guys think... What I can start doing next week after we all lose the excess surgery Fluid... so everyone can see easily how much everyone has lost, is each week we can weigh in Mondays and I can put it after your name on the new Tuesday thread. It would be great to be able to see how everyone is doing at a glance - ie (lylabelle -6). It will be fun the first few weeks when we will probably all be dropping really well (except week 3 is typically a stall). You guys can message your number to me if you want so we keep our thread clean and filled with tips, tricks, recipes, annoyances and NSVs! Let me know what you think. Love this group!

On my post op day 5, I developed blurry vision. I called the Dr and he said I needed to increase my fluid and my protein. I had to eat 3 hard candies to get the blurry vision to go away so I thought it was low sugar. On day 6 I practically slept all day and was very tired. I gradually increased my fluids and protein and I felt better. Perhaps it is the same with you habsi.

My vision is blurry today. Glad to hear this is all normal stuff. Ill increase my liquids and keep going with protein.

I forgot to add that my blurry vision had quickly developed into double vision. It was very scary.

Its monday all!! Time to check in! Let us know any NSVs of the week and give us your sugery date number! Ill put it up on our new thread tomorrow so we can see how everyone is doing at a glance :)

No bit nsv. but Im down -13 from surgery!!

Hello All! I had my surgery May 27th, in Edmond Oklahoma. I started out my journey at 254 pounds and I am 5'9". Before my surgeon would operate I had to loose 5% of my weight. I chose to loose that weight by cutting out all sugar and eating Protein and veggies. My weight the day of surgery was 240 pounds. Today, June 9th I weigh 224 pounds. My 2 week post-op diet has been a bit different from most of you. My surgeon and nutritionist require a two week clear liquid diet. They are not concerned with the protein intake in through shakes. They believe in getting protein in naturally through the food you eat rather then the shake rout. I can have a Protein Drink if I begin to feel hunger, weakness, dizziness or fatigue. I am excited and looking forward to my two week postop diet class tomorrow. Then I can begin to eat soft food :)

Tmrw will be 2 weeks since my surgery lost 17lbs so far. Still struggling to get the protein in. I bought isopure vanilla I just can't get into the taste I tried almond milk regular milk.

Well here are my stats as of this am:

Start weight was 189 ( that is as I was doing my preop diet)

May 29 surgery weight was 183

Weight today is 171

NSV I can now wear my engagement and claddaugh rings hubby gave me when we were married 17 and a half years ago. I am fitting into smaller clothes in my closet.

Challenges: it is tough when my family is eating all these tempting smelling things around me. But I have not given in and I will not give in bc I know this is head hunger, plus I am scared to pieces of leaks!

I am basically having my protein shakes water and sf Popsicles during the day. I have tried stuff a little more "substantial" like puréed beans sf pudding and low carb yogurt, but gurgulina (my sleeves name) sings and complains for quote a while afterward so I get scared I am pushing it too soon.

I had my surgery on 5/30 and am down 11 pounds! And 19 pound over all! I can't remember the last time I "wanted" to weigh myself.

Surgery 5-28, HW 318, CW 303. Down 15 lbs since surgery and 31lbs overall. Happy to be in a smaller size pants!

Low energy is and should be Normal .

Your body is use to get its energy source from crap food which is why we become obese .. Now that you are purgeing it out it's much like a drug withdraw and soon should start conferring your stored fat in to energy which is a better source sugar is like a dura flame log and fat is a nice oak log what's going to give you better heat oak over dura ... So your energy levels should start to come up. .. :)

5/20 313lbs at start of liquid diet

5/27 300 surgery weight

5/29 305 discharge weight( all those fluids)

6/9 285lbs today! I am having a little bit of a stall my weight hasn't changed much in about 2/3 days- tomorrow is 2 weeks!

Lylabelle maybe you would post a list on here and FB - the abbreviations and what they mean so we are all on the same page and providing the same information!? NSV is one I am stuck on!! Thank you, in advance!

Bowl movement gross but I have only had two since surgey. May 30 been on broth so I don't know if it's normal not on the Norco ..

Boccob - straight pear juice. Baby food aisle. Sure fix!!
