I'm wondering how recovery from revision has been for people. I had my band removed in April & will have the bypass July 8th. I'm supposed to go on vacation the end of August. Just wondering if I'll be ready for desert camping then.

My removal recovery was easy, back to myself after 3 days. My initial lap band surgery recovery was long and hard- took 2 weeks before I was fuctioning without pain.

I would say it really just depends on you and your tolerance for pain any surgery is going to hurt and it will take your body from what i have read about a good month to be feeling functional again. some people follow their doctors orders walk a ton and feel good after about two weeks so best thing to do is follow your plan and be strong good luck keep us updated!

I had band removed and revised to bypass on May 21. I feel awesome! I could definitely go camping now. I found this easiest surgery I ever had.

I had my revision from band to bypass in one procedure less than 2 weeks ago. I already feel ready for vacation! Everyone heals differently, just don't get a set date in your head for feeling 100%, as you may disappoint yourself. You will be ready to go by vacation time!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
