  1. I have BC/BS of NC and they paid for both of mine. It was a 7 year difference.
  2. I had my revision from band to bypass in one procedure less than 2 weeks ago. I already feel ready for vacation! Everyone heals differently, just don't get a set date in your head for feeling 100%, as you may disappoint yourself. You will be ready to go by vacation time!
  3. I just had my Lap Band to Bypass revision on July 15. So so happy I did it and so wished I had done it in 2007 when my Lap Band was placed. Only lost 40 lbs, then gained back 20 over the years. I have BC/BS. My pre-op requirements were minimal due to the long weight history. First busy to surgeon 4/7, insurance approval first time, surgery 7/15. Just make sure you have a surgeon that writes really good letters. Best if luck to you!
  4. Misty, I am so sorry you lost your Mom so close to your surgery date. I am having my surgery tomorrow too! I was originally scheduled for 10:30 but was told at 5:00 today that i was moved to 12:00. grrrrr. I am hoping I can sleep late to help pass the time. Good luck to you tomorrow!
  5. Surgery for revision Band to RNY scheduled for Tuesday 7/15. Drastically cut caffeine from 4 cups to 1 per day about 3 weeks ago. Bariatric Advantage liver reduction diet for 2 weeks now. Taking my B complex Vitamin daily. I get migraines easily, so I am really trying to keep these headaches in check, but just Tylenol is not doing it. Aleve is usually my go-to help. Any advise appreciated!

  9. Me! Me! Me! I just joined the group, would love surgery buddies! The preoperative diet has been ok, except for the awful Headaches! Any ideas on this? I get migraines pretty easily and I am really trying to hold these at bay so I don't end up with one. I cut my caffeine back to 1 cup of coffee per day (from about 4); and of course the Bariatric Advantage shakes. What else causes the headaches? I would have thought the caffeine would have passed by now. Good luck everyone!
