How is the gas? You almost rid of it? How close are you to hitting your Protein and Water goals?

Gas almost gone. Still a little pain in one shoulder. I really have to focus to slow down and not to gulp. Water goals are good. I can also down a Protein shake a day.

Along with my gatric sleeve procedure, my surgeon also reduced the hiatal hernia I have.

Sounds like your surgeon did a great job and you are having minimal complications. It doesn't always go this well. I am 8 weeks out and it still takes me 30 to 45 minutes to down a Protein Shake.

I feel extremely lucky. It's nice to know the swagger my surgeon had in his abilities matched reality.

I hope things go similarly well for you guys with surgery coming up.

Hope so. I have surgery in 2 days and am getting nervous. 46 years old and never have had a surgery since I was a baby. Wonder how many people have thoughts of backing out? I won't but can't say it hasn't crossed my mind.

I'm on day three post op. The sleeve was a success. I am not in a lot of pain but I am taking my pain med religiously. In the hospital the biggest issue was passing gas and having a bowel movement. This happened 48hrs later. I can say I don't regret anything and just walking half a mile today felt great. My only issue is that my fingers are still numb. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
