@@Scylla - I've been CRAVING chicken salad.. I'll have to make some next week when I have a couple days off

@@QueenBeeBee - salmon, cc, & avocado-- sounds like a yummy combo!

Premier Protein shake for breakfast (recently returned to these a few days a week because my protein was low and this is an easy fix), a few oz. of roasted chicken from dinner and a half a zucchini cake for lunch. I have almonds at my desk for a snack, and Quest bar in my desk drawer to eat on the bus before a Hardbodies class this evening.

Zucchini cake is made with grated zucchini, ricotta cheese, egg, garlic, onion powder and a little flour to bind it all together. I fried them just enough to sear then baked them in the oven. A little "bad" with the frying but very tasty!

@@Mrs.RRn Will you pack my lunches for me please??? Looks great!

Mmm... I'm thinking I might trade that CIB for a Quest bar I have in my purse.

@@millergirl314 lol. I'm in love with small containers. They seem so normal to me now, but everyone at work gets a kick out of them!

Is 48 greens of Protein enough for a 12 hour shift? I worked 11 hours today (hadn't planned on it) and was scared when I only got in 54g of protein.

Because it was an 11-11 shift, I woke up at a "normal" 4am (lol). So I ate before work as well. This is just what I packed.

I am having the hardest time getting over 60gms of protein a day. If I had it my way I'll be in the 80-100gms a day. How are u guys able to get all your protein?

I'm a year out and I still use protein supplements most days. At first my doc wanted me off shakes/bars, but when he realized how active I am & my goals, he told me to keep them.

Also, the original plan was to eat 3 times per day, one snack if needed-- I can only eat MAX 4 oz at a time, so that would've been impossible. And also, my PCP encouraged me to eat more often d/t low blood sugar. So I now eat 5-6 times a day, about 2-4oz at a time. It keeps my blood sugar pretty level at a comfortable 80, so I don't worry so much when I workout. So my norm is 80-100 grams of protein per day.

Yum. I havent had surgery yet but will you pack my lunch for tomorrow? )lol

I had cottage cheese and a roma tomato with a small banana. I typically eat a protein bar twice for a morning and afternoon snack. For dinner usually some sort of chicken or fish and a fresh vegetable. I rarely eat more than 1100 calories a day but get in 70 to 85 grams of protein a day. I have love over 175 pounds in about 10 months and I'm still losing. I feel great. Eat healthy no matter what you eat and please do yourself a favor and log your food. I use my fitness pal on my Iphone. That is really a key to success.
