I started my two week liquid preop diet today. It hasn't been too bad except for the Protein drinks. They are so sweet. Any suggestions for ones that aren't? I have tried Oh Yeah! and Premier Protein. I can do anything for two weeks but any suggestoins would be so helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try adding PB2 its available at GNC where I get it for $4.00. It adds Protein and a much better Peanut Butter taste to the Protein shakes ( which I cant stand the taste of without PB2). Its really yummy that way! Give it a try, cant really go wrong for that price. Good luck to you! :D

I just got a book, "The Bariatric Foodie Guide to Perfect Protein drinks." I haven't tried any yet, but they look good. Also, google recipe bariatric Protein shakes and see what looks good. If you make them yourself, you can make it to your taste. Hope this helps!

New whey has 42 grams of Protein and is less than 4 oz. The nu at my doctor's office just told me about it today. This product wasn't one of the suggested brands in my information packet as it is a new product and my packet was typed up and reprinted for the past 3+ yrs. She also told me that you can add ice or Water to it if its too sweet and it will still be less volume than the shakes. Not a big deal pre-op but from what I hear post-op its quite a chore to get the Protein down due to the new tiny stomach :) Just thought I would forward my newly found info!hope it helps.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
