Called my drs office today and they said I don't need to crush my Protonix pill. And I asked her about my Lexapro too and she said if it's a small pill no. Okay, so what about other pills? Like I'm wondering what size is pushing it? I am off my heavy pains meds but felt achy tonight and am wanting to take Tylenol but don't know if I need to crush it or not! This is frustrating! :/

Oh I'm 7 days post op btw! Lol

I never had to crush any of my pills, some were chewable and some capsules! I don't think it would hurt anything but definitely following your orders !

My doctor recommended 2 weeks -- after that solid pills were OK

Up until two weeks they told me nothing larger than an m&m. After that they said I could swallow anything. I still do chewable Calcium and Vitamins at 6 months out, though, because those are usually so large they get stuck frequently. Plus the Citracal Gummy Calcium are actually kind of good! lol

I still chew chewables and at 5 months out im just starting to feel comfortable swallowing pills whole...I had a terrifying experience 4 weeks out when I was told it was safe to take whole pills. ..Ever since I have been extremely careful and will probably always be a nervous ninny anout it...

I never had to crush pills. I went home taking 1 pill every 15 minutes to get my daily pills in. I've never had a problem.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
