HI I'm up at Tallering Peak for Mt Gibson Mining, I agree you do put on alot of weight with all the food being offered Brekky, lunch and Dinner!!

I was on Optifast shakes (liquid only) for the 3 weeks leading up to the surgery. I took 6 weeks off work as I do heavy lifting in my job, I stayed on the shakes for the 4 weeks after the op.I went back to site with a box of shakes and just ate milky weetbix for beakky and lunch was tinned or soft fruit and yoghurt and dinner was whatever soft food they had. I went and spoke to the site catering people and they were only too pleased to provide the sort of food I had to eat. I'm sure that it being argyle they will most definatley be able to provide you with "special meals".

Good Luck!!!!

HI

Any more mining people here?? I'm off to see Dr Couch in the morning, maybe for another fill. Should take me to 6mls?? I should know exactly how much liquid I have but at the moment it escapes me!

I got weighed in 2 weeks ago and have lost another 6kgs in the 4 week period!! (117.8-96.4kgs) Even better, I went into myer and brought my first outfit from the normal size section, god what a great feeling it was in the changing rooms :))

I have found that I can't stomach anything untill around 11am other wise it just come up. My hunger has pretty much gone there are even a few times that I have to remind myself to have something to eat.

Good luck to those who are heading into the operating theature soon, remember to relax and just think that it will all be for the better!

Jodie

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
