How many people lost a considerable amount of weight pre-op. I started the program in January at 375 and with cutting out all fried foods, sodas (and other high calorie drinks), just eating better and tracking my calories along with doing Zumba 2-3 times a week I'm 3 pounds away from losing 50. I know during my 2 week diet before surgery I'll probably lose weight too. My surgery date isn't until august 26th. I'm sticking with getting the surgery to help with maintenance and hope that it helps with my PCOS. Anyone else lose a lot pre-op??

I've lost a total of 24 lbs pre-op (12 before the 2-week liquid diet and an additional 12 once I went to all liquids) I boosted my exercise quite a bit as well, so I'm hoping that helps with recovery and weight loss down the line. Great on you for losing so much during the pre-op process :)

I lost a total of 20 pounds pre-op. I had only 48 hours of a liquid diet. I did have a pre-op diet to follow that was 1200 calories a day and I also stepped up my exercising 5-6 days a week. That's awesome that you have lost so much so far! Congrats!

Right now I'm sticking with a 2100 calorie limit (I don't get anywhere near that) and exercising 2-4 times a week. I cut back on candy too.. Every once in awhile I get sugar free hard candy because I also quit smoking march 26th. There's a list of a couple fattening fried foods I want to try before surgery and I want to hit up one more buffet... Any who... I have a 2 week pre op diet it'll start aug 11th.. I took a pic of it from my book.

That's the same pre-op diet I'm on!! My surgery is May 20th. Are you from PA? The pre-op diet really isn't bad after day 2 or 3 you get used to it. I will say that I really look forward to dinner though and actually being able to eat food. Best of luck to you!

Awesome!! I still have a few months. I was just looking at Vitamins at cvs while I was getting cough meds for my hubby. Did you buy the vitamins yet? Didn't they say something about us not getting gummies?

Yep...no gummies, but they need to be chewable. I've become re-acquainted with the Flintstones :)

Nope, no gummies. Yes I bought my vitamins online through Amazon. I bought a Centrum chewable, a liquid calcium citrate Vitamin, and a dissolvable B12. I was online looking for unflavored Protein and stumbled across unjury.com-they have all the vitamins we need and they're all chewable. They're probably a little more pricy, but you only need to take one daily vitamin instead of two. I might try those too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
