Going into full liquids

Recommended Posts

I wanted to try a full liquid tonight, but was not sure what it should be. I was thinking of milk or a smoothie what is a good idea?

What does your post op diet plan say? You should have received a dietary plan for post surgery or gone to a nutrition class that spells out what you can drink and eat?

Most of us were on Clear Liquids for 3-14 days? Water, Crystal light, ice cubes, sugar free popsicles etc?

I was experimenting a little before I got banded so I would know in advance what I would like. I tried 1% milk, chocolate carnation instant Breakfast, a little ice, a little Peanut Butter and a small banana blended. I also tried 1% milk, vanilla carnation instant breakfast, strawberries, bananas, and black berries. They were both delicious! My nutritionist told me I could also use silk instead of milk. It's half the calories and tastes so good!!! You could also put some yogurt in! Just make sure it's blended well so u have no chunks. Good luck!!!

I went to Vitamin Cottage and bought a Protein Powder mix(chocolate). It's OK but I still have most of the original tub I bought. There are a lot of people here who have one or two shakes every day. I mixed mine with milk. I think you can add bananas and other fruits if you want?

My liquids phase is anything you can put through a straw. You just can't use a straw, of course.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
