I'm 6 weeks post op and I've been at a stall for over 2 weeks. Not a pound lost in 2 weeks. I'm starting to get discouraged that I'm doing something wrong or not doing it right. I've lost 30lbs in the 1st 3 or 4 weeks but nothing since. What can I do to jump start the weight loss again? Not seeing a scale move in over 14 days is heartbreaking.

Without knowing what you are eating or drinking, I think it's hard for any of us to give advice or thoughts. But if you are following your doctor's plan, I would say just make sure you are getting all your fluids and Protein in -- more on both if you can -- and have patience. If you have a post-op team (surgeon, your surgeon's dietician, etc.) you may want to check in with them if you haven't, just to see. But stalls are pretty common and from what I can see, if you are on plan the only thing that breaks them is patience. It might be time to put away the scale if it is making you feel crazy!

PS you have lost an amazing amount of weight in a very short amount of time. It's perfectly normal for your body to 'rest' for a bit and catch up with the new plan. I can pretty much promise you your initial rate of weight loss will NOT continue in the future so don't get attached to it. ^_^

Protein and fluids and fluids and protein. Oh...and pretend like you have to pay $10 cash per carb.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
