I'm a little over a year post op from the sleeve and I've been at a stall for about 4-5 months. I've fell off the wagon here recently, I've had a lot of stress with work and school....I know its not an excuse....LOL. Anyways I feel very bogged down and bloated and well...not good. Has anyone tried a cleanse to kinda detox? If so what are some good ones to do? Any info is greatly appreciated! :)

I'm also considering a cleanse. A carb cleanse. I've let too many carbs slip in over the last few weeks. And am craving them horribly bad. But I do not know where to start. I think I read where some people are going back and doing the post op food phases starting at Clear Liquids. I'm not sure if this is what I want to do though.

For those discussing a carb cleanse, the carb cleansing/back on track plan I've seen discussed on another vsg board works like this. For three days, you eat nothing but meat, green veggies, and high quality fats (olive oil, coconut oil, grassfed butter -- stuff like that). No grains, no dairy, no Beans, no fruit, no starchy veggies. Don't count calories for these three days -- just focus on eating only those foods.

After three days, commit to an eating plan and to logging everything you eat. At a year out, most people do something like:

--maximum 900 calories

--maximum 60 carbs

--minimum 80 grams Protein

Log everything on myfitnesspal or a similar site/app.

Thank you for the info! Does the meat, green veggies, and oils help to detox?

@@Emilee68 it helps cut cravings for carbs. I don't believe in "cleansing" toxins from your body by eating special foods, I think our liver and kidneys are designed to take care of that function, so I'm probably not the right person to answer that particular question ^_^

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
