Australia - Melbourne

Hi Everyone

I am from Melbourne and am starting a support group.

Sometimes you can feel alone not knowing many or any other people that have had weight loss surgery, and there are always so many questions that we have and support that we need.

Sometimes it helps just to talk to someone that can relate to you

I would love to hear from others in Melbourne, Victoria that are interested in this support group.

Hope to hear from you soon

Leanne

Also, I bought a plate online, it's for bariatric sleeve patients, for portion control, to make sure I get the right size & balance of what I should be eating on a plate eg mainly Protein, comes with recipes and also a bowl., as I don't always want to measure but the plate has visual aids

Maybe take some senna to help things get moving. It's probably a lot from your meds. I had surgery the thurs and didn't go to loo until the Sunday, and the first time was hard but after that it was all just liquids as that's all I was having

Def sounds like you need some mild laxatives to get things moving along. Are you drinking enough fluids too?

Congrads thats pretty good for a week. Icant weight myself easily as its hard to find scales that are big enough. But im happy to leave it to weekly weighs or longer. I have an app this Fri to get all the staples (18) out of my chest so will probably weigh myself then.

I can only tolerate half a measuring cup of puréed food. If it's a cup of Soup I can tolerate almost 1 measuring cup.

Some days I can't even tolerate that. And I'm like what the hell lol. I want to be able to eat about 1 measuring cup, maybe 1&1/2 measuring cup

Hmmm it's just so little food isn't it I know going forward food is not going to bring me joy which I know is a good thing but sad at the same time I can drink a cup of Soup now no issues that's a cream of chicken soup a dry sachet mixed with Water. Kiwijet I can't believe you have staples on the outside how do they feel are they sore? I'm taking my dressings off today I've got glue so no removal for me my next appt is in a month and it's over the phone as I live 5.5 hours return from my surgeons and NUT office.
