Any 2014 June Sleevers

I couldn't find a June Sleevers forum. If there is one already please direct me!

Well anyway, I'm glad excited that I finally got a date, June 5th. I really wanted it to be sometime during the end of May but that didn't happen. My family will be going out of town, to Disney to be specific, a few days after my surgery because my cousin from Mexico will be making his fist trip here. I'm so sad I won't be joining them but my parents keep telling me I need to look at the bigger picture, or should I say smaller. Haha. I have my preop appointment May 27th. I'm curious as to what kind of diet he will put me on! I'm just excited to get this going! So who else has a June Date? Who is hoping for a June Date? Are you ready yet? Nervous? Excited?

Wow! That is insane! Amazing! Have you had your surgery yet? Are you drinking enough water. I know I struggle with getting all my water.

Surgery scheduled for June 4.....I drink water constantly but I was told once I have the surgery I may not be able to unless I add something to it.... They call it water nausea ... A co worker who had his surgery 2 years ago still can't drink water unless he adds something to it. Have u been reading about the hairloss? I think that is what is freaking me out the most....it's not like a woman can shave her head and be considered "hot" like some guys can!!!! Lol!

I'm having my lap band removal and VSG 6/3/14. I agree! I'm spooked about the hair loss. I heard people who experience hair loss usually stop shedding after about 8 months to a year after surgery. If it happens to me... I hope I don't shed until I'm bald???? LOL! I better get some liquid/chewable Biotin just in case. I never heard of water nausea... Is it because the taste of water has changed after surgery and it tastes nasty?

I am scheduled for June 6th. I am very excited but also nervous and a little scared.

Hi everyone!!! I am June 13th in Mexico with Dr. Alvarez. Nice to meet everyone.

Seems June 4th is a popular date! I'm having my sleeve done on this day as well. Started my two week pre-op diet on day 2. It's hasn't been that hard. 4shakes a day with up to 5 additional items like sf jello, pudding, soup and veggies. I realize just how much head hunger I really have! I am slightly nervous, but more excited on this journey for a healthy mind and Body! And it won't be bad to look as great as you feel! This is a very exciting time and I'm so ready to get it going!

I'm not having trouble with the diet during the day BUT when I get home from work is when the hunger sets in.... A friend of mine who went through the pre op process with me had her surgery on April 18, and she has lost a total of 47 pounds...which includes her pre op weight loss. Pretty amazing huh?

I'm the same way. Day 2 of pre op diet and I'm hungry!!!!!! It's totally head hunger because I've had nothing really to do today. Hopefully it will get better. I can't believe surgery is in less than two weeks....nervous

I'm scheduled for my sleeve on June 23rd, Dr. Billing in Edmonds, Wa. I see so many peeps going to Mexico, but too nervous to do that, which is unfortunate because it could save so much money.

Hello, i wanted to know if you're from NY ? This is last month of my requirement journey. ( my around visit with my surgeon on June 4th ) what is to be expected that day ? I'm just so nervous.. Millions of thought racing through my head and no way of putting them on here lol.. I'm just a little worried about the approval. Everyone tells me not to worry I'll be fine.. But heck there's always a little preoccupation ... What do you think .. I have Healt First. My BMI is at 47.. I weigh 253.. I gained maybe 10 lbs since I started in December.. Which I doubt would be a problem being that I need to lose a little weight before surgery..,

I started my two week pre-op liquid diet today. It is kind of weird but I am looking forward to this two weeks, because now it feels real...this is really, finally going to happen! I sometimes worry about all the things that I have read that could go wrong, but I am truly trying to focus on all the things that will be good after, and the opportunity to really live my life without having to always worry about what my weight will and will not allow me to do. For the first time in years...I am looking to the future with optimism. June 6th here I come.

I sometimes think the same way as well.. Just that you were already approved, I'm in tht waiting game. Plus my papers haven't been submitted yet. I'm almost done I have my psych Eval next week and that has me worried because you never know what to expect from those people... But I'm going with my head held high, positive, and confident!!!!! God is on my side ????????????

My surgery will be sometime in June but I am getting so scared. Can someone pump me up for it? Like I'm scared about something going terribly wrong in surgery or dying or leak. Who all have gotten it done and were completely successful?? Am getting so scared

SsBills

I sometimes think and feel the same way, those feelings are so normal and common .. See my thoughts are over the roof, but I have friends that have gone through it all they help me get

Through this. I'm just waiting for my psych Eval which is what has me so nervous.... ???????????? .. You'll so amazing

I started mine in December 2013.. What insurance do you have ?

I have Aetna HMO. It was my medical group that required the 6 months of visits.
