I couldn't find a June Sleevers forum. If there is one already please direct me!

Well anyway, I'm glad excited that I finally got a date, June 5th. I really wanted it to be sometime during the end of May but that didn't happen. My family will be going out of town, to Disney to be specific, a few days after my surgery because my cousin from Mexico will be making his fist trip here. I'm so sad I won't be joining them but my parents keep telling me I need to look at the bigger picture, or should I say smaller. Haha. I have my preop appointment May 27th. I'm curious as to what kind of diet he will put me on! I'm just excited to get this going! So who else has a June Date? Who is hoping for a June Date? Are you ready yet? Nervous? Excited?

First post...I'm June 10th! I just got the date today! I'm excited about the new journey. I'm trying to read the Emotional First Aid Kit book, it's very helpful!

I am also June 25th. I go in June 11th for the pre-op. I wonder about how my Dr. will handle the pre-op diet...how long I will be on liqiuds etc....hum? Lots of different things on here about what people are doing. So, I guess I will have to see what they say when my time comes!

Hello June Sleevers. My surgery date is on June 5th. My pre-op is on Thurs.5/22 I am really excited!!!

I'm scheduled for June 4th, too. Seems like a lot of us. Doc says I need an Upper GI prior to, and he also does a sonogram on your gallbladder and will remove during surgery if there are stones present with or without symptoms. I'm a type 1 diabetic with a BMI of 37.5. Looking to cure my sleep apnea and get my diabetes back in check. I don't have to do the liver reducing diet so glad of that!

I am planning on a June 18th sleeve surgery. I am beyond excited and impatient by nature so just want to get it done! I am hoping for insurance coverage but that may not happen so I might be paying for it myself.

I am hoping for June 23rd date. I'm done with all my visits and evaluations, studies and the nutritional appointments that are required prior to surgery, but I'm waiting for the insurance approval. I'm on pins and needles and am hoping to have a positive answer by the end of this week. I am in exactly the same place. My surgeon gave me a tentative date.... I still have a sleep study to complete this coming week and I will be completely finished. Planning to submit to ins week of May 26 th. MD office tells me approval takes about a week. If it is not approved , I will go ahead and pay for it myself.

Ive got a june date too:) 18th. Cant wait for the new me

@ Jazma: I had my lapband removed last April. I was scheduled to have the bypass at the same time but changed my mind the morning of the surgery and just had the band removed. I gained about 35 lbs since it was removed, which Dr. says is quite good for typical weight gain after is much more. At any rate I feel really good about the sleeve and can't wait Till June 5th when I get mine. Good Luck to you!

Also, Do any of u take Probiotics? Last year before my surgery I went to costco and bought " Advance Probiotic 10" By Nature's Bounty. They are capsules and give u 10 probiotic Organisms and 20 Billion Live Probiotic Cultures. Of course being concerned about surgery, it was important to me to give myself a boost in my recovery process, so I started up on these two weeks before. Right after surgery I broke the capsules apart and them in my Water. On my follow up visit after my surgery my Dr said I had so much scar tissue and removing my band was a challenge. He was surprised I had no complications but I believe it's my secret gem, these probiotics that made the difference. Needless to say I just bought some more to prepare for this surgery as well...
