  1. I'm only two weeks out and am feeling tired of the protein shakes, eggs and pureed food, so I'm glad to see that it is normal. I thought I was being a drama queen so soon after my surgery. The only thing that is keeping me from totally exploding is that I keep repeating to myself that I chose this and it will all be worth it in the end. I've been blessed to have come out of this better than I expected, but I am really not looking forward to another 6 months of including the protein shakes to my daily meal plan.

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

Had my surgery 6/30 & as of my weigh in on monday 7/7 I've lost 9lbs. I'm getting kind of tired of the protein shakes, eggs & pureed chicken. The cottage cheese I can still tolerate, somewhat, but I think I've become lactose intolerant. Going to test it out again tomorrow. I'll be switching to textured meats in 5 more days and can't wait. I do have a question is anyone else having problems laying down to sleep? Thanks to my very tender left side I can't find a comfortable sleeping position no matter how many pillows I use, any suggestions.

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

I was told that baby food is a good way to get proteins in. Apparently some of the other patients mentioned that to the nutritionist. I still have to look it up, but ask your doctor if that would be ok.

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

I've been reading a lot of the posts and watching a few you tube videos and one thing I noticed everyone has a different diet and restrictions. I can keep having coffee, but since I've been told I will be given decaf after surgery and can't have my Bustelo from home I've decide to wean myself from coffee. Don't want a migraine hitting me after surgery and I need my family to help out afterwards. I've been told that I turn into the she hulk when I'm deprived of my coffee. So I'm slowly decreasing my intake until I can go three days without coffee and work out my withdrawal issues. I also want to be able to focus on my surgery and not a migraine or withdrawal symptoms.

Thanks for that advice. I bought comfy jogging pants to come home in. Didn't think about the incisions. Am going to have to go buy a comfy summer dress.

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

Hello everyone. Fellow sleever here. After years of yoyo dieting and disappointing weight gains I finally made the decision to look into a weight loss tool that works and after months of research, psych evaluations and nutritionist visits I was finally approved for the gastric sleeve. I am scheduled for surgery on the 30th of this month. I'm a little nervous and excited but extremely thankful I found this forum, your posts are very helpful.

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

I am hoping for June 23rd date. I'm done with all my visits and evaluations, studies and the nutritional appointments that are required prior to surgery, but I'm waiting for the insurance approval. I'm on pins and needles and am hoping to have a positive answer by the end of this week. Good luck to all who already have their dates, keep up the good work to all who have already done the Sleeve and patience to all those who are in the process and waiting
