Bile all the time

Recommended Posts

I have in this past week been having many problems, I can't eat without either throwing up or choking on the bile that constantly is coming back on me. All I've eaten is slim fast or yogurt and then a pudding. I keep trying different things but they keep coming back on me. I went about 6 weeks ago and was unfilled some and thought I was doing better but it just keeps getting worst. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow and hope they do something because I can't stand the acid reflux. I don't feel like I'm losing weight because I am eating lots of carbs like potatoes because their mushy and go down easy.

Does anyone know what signs you get when your band has slipped?:help:

I can't offer a lot, I don't know too many signs, but click on Search on the blue toolbar near the top of the page and then click on advanced search, then type slip in the box on the left, then click on the down arrow below it and click on thread titles only. You will now see all the threads that have slip in the title. You could also write slipped in that search box. You also may wish to search for bile because I remember seeing another thread recently about bile around here. Good luck!!

It sure sounds like you're too tight, and could benefit from a total unfill. This situation shouldn't be allowed to continue because it can damage your esophagus and lead to the risk of aspiration pneumonia. Please see your doctor as soon as you can for an unfill.

In the meantime, do what you can to ease inflammation. If you have or can get a prescription for Prevacid or Nexium, they can really help. Stick to liquids as much as you can. Be gentle!

Alexandra Thanks for your advice and I agree I think I need another unfil, but the last time they couldn't find my port. After the forth needle she found it, I was just about ready to say forget it but I knew I needed to be unfilled. I am nervous about going back but know I have to. I just might if this appointment doesn't go better start looking for a new doctor. I have been worried about my esophagus also but I just can't stop the vomiting. I think I need to really start watching what I eat and maybe that would make a difference. I have a presciption for Prevacid and it works every once in a while

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
