I know they have to maintain their stats and make lots of money. But if they went out of their way to help me even though i was having problems then that could be a part of my story. When asked about it i would tell them, "yea i had some problems But the surgeon do all he could to help me." Smh. Just praying for a good outcome and all the answers tommorow.

Sho got that right. I think any way we need to do what we can to support each other, once we're dumped.

I am until I go.

Ct was clear. Now he wants me to wait until next appt next Wednesday. Sigh.

Anyone experienced rotten egg burps? What can that be? Also what about Probiotics? Do they help? Now just trying to think of anything I can to cure myself. Any home remedies that work to kill infection?

PHEW ...

still something is going on. Ok, I'm sorry but this ... head to ER if you need it.

Yes, food and I didn't get along well. food and I have never gotten along at times. Give it a shot. I didn't do well with them but you need to try and it and see if it works for you. You don't know, I shift around because sometimes things work and sometimes they don't. I give them a shot. Its worth it you know?

Glad to hear no other surgery is needed but frustrating to be back in the spot where he thinks I'm fine

As I have found to my cost, they only move when you are at deaths' door, and sometimes not even then. Its more costly that way, the mindset of medical education.

Sad ... I'm sorry for your suffering. I just wish I had the ability to do more.

I was having the same problem when I was about 8 or 9 days out. I went to the emergency room they did xrays and they said that there was blood that pooled in my stomach and it had gotten very large and was laying on my stomach and that's what was causing all the symptoms . I had the exact same symptoms but I was also dehydrated which is what made me feel worse so they hook me up to IV gave me pain meds I stayed overnight but they said the blood that pulled in my stomach would just go away on its own. I will begin to feel better so its been about 3 or 4 days since then and I do feel much better.if the ER is not doing anything for you I agree you should call your surgeon or your doctor's office

I had the same symptoms a few days out ...i thought maybe i caught a mild pneumonia or something ..maybe i had the same thing as you .i never went to the doc thought..those first few weeks were rough

My surgeon and PCP both told me some people need iv fluids during the first 3 weeks...I wonder if that would help you. Dehydration is a horrid feeling. My surgeon office was very supportive and encouraged me to call and be seen as needed.

Was that all the time or farther out? I have needed it farther out and the surgeon indicated it was someone elses' problem to deal with and I wasn't making a hard enough effort "discipline".

He didn't take into account gastroparesis, reflux, IBS and food intolerances ...

What alternative methods or meds have assisted everyone with GERD, Gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying)? I have been suffering horribly this last month (6 mos out from surgery). I am not keeping anything down. I am taking Protonix and Reglan which are not helping.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
