4 weeks post op. No weight loss for 2 weeks :(

Recommended Posts

I know this topic has probably been discussed a million times but I am currently 4 weeks out since surgery. At my 2 week post op I was down an unbelievable 31 lbs. I haven't budged since. It's so discouraging to go through all that and stall out after 2 weeks. I'm exercising and getting in my Water and Protein. I'm at a loss of what to do. I just need to know its normal. I'm scared to go to my next apt in a couple weeks with no change. It will make me feel like a failure. Anybody else go through this?!

I was right there too. I went into a stall at the end of week 2 and didn't break it until the beginning of week 4. Very, very frustrating. But it'll break. My stall was more mental than anything. Just read the other posts out there. Stay on track. Keep moving. It'll break soon. I feel ya! I did finally measure myself at 1 month and it was shocking. That might help offset the disappointment of scale not moving. Hard to believe we can stall eating 509-600 calories a day isn't it!?!?

Everyone on here says when you stalk you should up your Protein and calorie intake. It boosts your metabolism abs stimulates weight loss. And make sure you get your Water in!! Good luck guys!

Totally normal. But it still sucks. Every. Single. Time.

Go read the link on Butterthebean's signature line. Excellent article on why stalls happen.

And in case your misery loves my company, I'm on a month-long stall. In fact, I've gained and lost (and gained) the same 3 pounds for the entire month. Frustrating, but I know it will break......eventually.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
