Tomorrow is Monday

Recommended Posts

I'm laying in bed thinking about tomorrow being Monday. In my pre op life I would spend my Sunday nights in bed thinking about how I would be starting some kind of new diet the next day. How I would be good all week and maybe even exercise. But every Monday I would start out eating well then by three I would find myself in the cafeteria looking for a piece of cake and filling a 16 oz cup of coke. I would be disappointed with myself then would tell myself that the next Monday would be the day. That day never came until Dec 19th of last year.

Here I am almost 4 months post op. Almost 70 pounds down and I am not thinking about beginning a new diet. I will wake up and drink fresh vegetable and fruit juice and eat a couple of bites if Protein throughout the day. I might even have to remind myself to eat.

Tomorrow is Monday and I'm NOT starting my diet.

Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. Good night everyone.

I am right there with you! It is so freeing to not be a slave to the latest diet. This is our new life- forever!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
