Hospitalized due to extreme nausea and heart burn

Recommended Posts

What can I say I have been hospitalized due to extreme nausea and heart burn. I was sleeved on 3/6 and didn't KNOW what to do. I couldn't eat or drink anything. I didn't KNOW what to think.

We'll the GREAT news is that my sleeve is Great and I have no leaks and let me tell you I was SCARED. Am one of the five PPL my surgeon has seen with this EXTREME ACID REFLUX.

Sounds like good news - did he start you on some medication?

My surgeon sends all of his patients home on acid reducers. I also have to pick up my script for something to help with gall stones. My husband is also a bariatric patient and had his gall bladder out at about 1 1/2 years out. he was hospitalized with severe chest pains. Turned out to be reflux from a gall bladder attack. He has a RNY.

That's scary! Glad your sleeve is ok and there is no leak! Are you feeling better? What is the doc's plan?

Yes my doctor sent me home on one but we didn't expect me to have real bad acid reflux cause I NEVER had it before. Am one of five cases in has saw with it that bad but am DOING a lot BETTER NOW!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
