steel cut oatmeal? bad idea to eat every day?

I been finding myself eating oatmeal every morning, Just wondering if the carbs are to much in this and should I cut down on it. I usually make it with bananas , apples or blueberries.

Thanks in advance!

I think it's just a matter of individual diet. As far as carbs go, they say the steel cut oatmeal is very good for you.

Thanks:) I'm just worried too start gaining

I eat oatmeal daily.... If I didn't, I would never poop~

I love and miss my steel cut oatmeal days. For we banders it's a slider food and doesn't give us the satiety we need. Lots of Fiber and a low glycemic value so it should be fine for sleevers and bypass folks.

Lots of carbs in 1/4 cup according to my fitness pal. It also only has 6 grams of carbs. The fruit will give you fiber also. I don't think eating something everyday is a good idea simply because variety in your diet will keep you from getting bored in what your eating. Why don't you try to add a scoop of unflavored protein like Unjury or something like that with your oatmeal. I will keep you satisfied longer than just eating oatmeal and you will really bump up your protein intake from 6 grams to 27 by just adding the protein. Remember being a bariatric patient is all about the protein. If you want consistent results get in your protein first. I also eat almost the same thing for breakfast every morning. But I have a cup of almond milk and a scoop of Unjury vanilla, strawberry or unflavored protein. Its fast and I have to be at work by 7:00 am in the morning with a 30 minute drive. Good luck, Mark

I eat oatmeal everyday. I love it.

I love my steel cut oats!

Steel cut oats are one of the eating highlights of my day. Mix it with chocolate protein powder and...mmm...every day I love my oats in the afternoon.

I prepare the McCanns Steel Cut Oatmeal as on directions for the Quick and easy . My question is i can eat the whole thing with a handful of blueberries.

Is this to much . I have no trouble finishing it.
