My big day is May 28th! This is our year team, we are going to look and feel fabulous, all the best to US!

My date is also April 9, would be nice to follow each others progress.

You guys are lucky, my surgeon put me on a 3 week pre-op diet. 2-3 protein shakes a day, one meal consisting of 6oz of lean protein and non starchy vegetables and either a apple, orange or pear 2x a day for a snack.

Your the lucky one. I'm on 3 weeks liquid only! Ensure, 1% milk (1 cup/day) and broth!

Wow, I guess I should consider myself lucky. Yours is pretty strict...good luck on your journey! When is your surgery date?

I too am having surgery on April 9th! On day four of my 2 week pre-op diet.

I am excited and nervous all at the same time! I am still trying to decide if I am going to buy a scale before surgery. I have NEVER owned a scale and I am interested on my weight loss during the pre op but.... I don't want to become obsessed with the scale!

April 17th is my day and I totally know what you mean. I'm really excited but I'm scared as well. I think since I've failed at every other attempt to lose weight I am super nervous about it. This is truly a lifestyle change. Surgery in itself is scary enough.

April 9th is my day too! I am a band to sleeve conversion and I am very much looking forward to it. Call me crazy, but I am excited to start my pre-op "Liver Shrinking Diet". I'll start on 4/2. My diet is a liquids only, but is not difficult for me when I'm in this mindset. I follow the rules when it comes to surgery because I want everything to go as smoothly as possible (as much as I can help it). Plus, the pre-surgery weight loss is pretty great too. ;)

Good luck everyone!

I read that the smaller the liver is the easier it is for the surgeon and LESS painful after the surgery, I am on a two week liquid diet. My surgery is April 11th.

yes, I will be starting the Optifast drink 2 weeks pre op and you're right, it is to shrink your liver and the fat around it to make it easier for the surgeon to operate :)

10 more days! I'm halfway thru my pre-op liquid diet. Everyone asks have you cheated? And Seem shocked when I say no. Unless you count sugar free jello!

Hope everyone is doing well and getting excited for what we have to look forward to!

I pray I will be able to get through this liquid diet like a champ. I am dreading it but I do understand it's something I must do. My daughter is 22 and being sleeved 2 hours before me I just hope she fares well too.
