Goal after sleeve!

Recommended Posts

One of my "tiny" coworkers started running 5ks. When I lost 91 lbs years ago I found I loved to run! Well I told her after my surgery I wanted to start running 5k and laughed saying maybe one day I could run one with her!

Well she has been very supportive the last 2 wks and this morning talked me into running a marathon relay race on June 7. My part would be 3 miles! I am not even sleeved yet and to know she thinks I could be ready to run 3 miles in a RACE ON HER TEAM in basically 2 months after surgery is awesome and scary!!

Any thoughts? Is that too soon to commit to something like that? I know it is motivation for me but still... Just some stats for more input help.. I currently weigh appox 235 and am 5'8".

You will do fine!! Train and enjoy yourself!!

I'm training for a 5k in May. I started doing the C25k running plan and it has really helped! I am 240 and 5'5". Hoping to drop more weight as I continue to train for it :) I was sleeved a month ago.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
