Hi all,

This is Lorraine, Pat's wife. I'm writing to say that Pat is home and feeling ok. His surgery went well and aside from the terrible gas pains, he is feeling better than expected.

Good luck to those who were banded today and to those getting it done tomorrow.

We are hoping this is the start of a healthy new lifestyle change for our family.

He's officially in band-land.

Lorraine

Welcome from East Texas Pat. I have a one year bandaversary coming up in about three weeks and it has been wonderful. A few ups and downs but not enough that I would trade my band for. I am almost at goal and hope you have a great journey.:D

I am so pleased to hear that you are doing well! Keep hydrated and walk over anything else. It will make your recovery easier. I am only 6 days post op myself, and I am finally taking in about 300 calories. However, make sure even over eating that you drink, drink, drink!

It will help clear out everyting. Including the adverse effects of the antibiotics if they gave them to you via IV.

I am so pleased for you! Please keep us updated with your recovery!

Welcome to Bandland!

Autumn

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
