Hi everyone, I am new to this sight but gave been lurking for a little while. I had my surgery 2/26 and things are going pretty well but I am really struggling with my Vitamins . I gave been consistently getting in my fluids and at least 60 G Protein however the vitamins are a challenge. I purchased the opurity vitamins from the Unjury website. The multi Vitamin makes me. Very nauseated I often cannot finish the whole thing and the surgeon wants me to take two daily. It can take me up to an hour to get it in and I have vomited from it as well. He has suggested finding a different multi vitamin. Wondering what you like? I would much prefer a pill than a chewable if possible but would like something made for WLS folks. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I use Centrum and my blood work has been perfect for the last 2 visits. My first post-op set of labs showed me Iron and folic acid deficient so I added those, but other than that I'm within normal levels of everything he tested me for, and it was a HUGE list. They aren't bariatric specific, but they are complete.

I use Caltrate Calcium gummies they are delicious a little sugary for me , but I'm not big on sweets. I also take vita fusion gummies love them but I will switching to pre natal Vitamins because they have more benefits. My Doc and Nut suggested it. I'm also 7 months out.

The opurity Vitamins made me nauseated too and I returned them. For a while I used liquid Centrum but the alcohol content bothered me. My NUT told me to take 2 Centrum tablets a day now that I am 2 months post surgery, and a sublingual b-12 tablet twice a week. I eat/drink a lot of Calcium and don't have any osteoporosis so she told me I can skip the calcium tablets ( it also helps that I am a sleever).

I take the chewable Multivitamin from celebratevitamins.com. I started with the strawberry pineapple flavor, but didn't like them so changed to the grape flavor. I like those better.

These are the Vitamins I use. Dissolve them both in 4oz Water. Taste a little like tang.

I went to my local health food store and the owner told me about the Alive gummie multi-Vitamins. Walmart sells the brand but they aren't made and don't have as much nutrients in them as the health food stores version. I've attached pictures. I like the fact that they have 26 fruits

and veggies in them as well.

I was told not to use the Gummy Vitamins. Not sure why, but both my surgeon and the NUT said absolutely no gummy vitamins. I will ask why when I go in next time.

I too had trouble with my traditional Vitamin so I ended up resorting to children's chewable. The Bariatric Fusion sound good, I am going to ask about them at my 1 week follow up tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions!

The gummies don't have enough nutritional value to them...that's what I was told by my surgeon. I have all Twin Lab bariatric support vitamins; Multivitamin, Calcium, B12, the works...they are available at The Vitamin Shoppe. The mulitvitamin isn't bad tasting but the calcium I have trouble with. I also drink an Iron supplement because before surgery I was defficient.

Source of Life liquid Gold has made my lab results perfect and I love the taste. Hated the chalky Bariatric Advantage multi. I wanted the best Vitamin possible and a compound pharmacist friend recommended the Source of Life. I do add calcium citrate and Biotin.

I am curious if anyone has tried the women's multivitamin from GNC that are soft chews? I sampled one before surgery and thought it was pretty good. I ordered the opurity ones from Unjury and they are like pills from the vet. I haven't even attempted that since my surgery. The thought gags me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
