NVGirl, phuber40 and PghMomof3,

Good luck to all of you! Prayers are being said!

I LOVE the daisy logo! (I might even find a little spot to put a tattoo like that on my flat belly in a year or so!!! HA! I wish!)

Anyway, I like all the ideas...I think my fav so far is Mayflowers. (kind of reminds me of the pilgrims, though...but...they DID embark on an exciting journey!!)

For all of you on the "other" side, thanks for your updates. It sure makes me less nervous about the whole thing.

Everyone have a great week...only 4 days to go! Can't believe it's here!

Funny you should say about getting a daisy tattoo... I got a little sunflower tattoo above my belly button (pre-childbirth, -100lbs)... needless to say... its a little... altered now. HAHA!

OK.. how about one of these flowers instead of the black background?

I like either one of those flowers! Maybe the white one is less feminine...........If a flower can be less feminine. HA!

Melissa,

That made me laugh!! But what is even funnier is the "dolphin" I have on my hip. It looks more like a blue whale these days. I would love to get it removed someday, and get a new one. I think the daisy would be perfect!!! I was never very happy with it...the guy who did it wasn't very artistic! But, I never went back to have it changed. Besides, it can fit under a nickel (ok, maybe a quarter now!), so it's not very noticeable!

Hi Everyone,

You are never going to believe this!! I went in for my surgery today.

Was in surgical gown, family all present getting set to go into the operating room at 12:00 and doesn't the surgeon come in and say that my surgery had to be canceled!!! He said that the hospital did not have anyone on staff to administer the Fluid they inject into someone to do a CatScan in the event that a person has a blood clot. He said if I was a Gastric Bypass patient there is no way you could have it done and because I was getting the band he possibly could've done it with loading me up on blood thinners, but there was still a chance of risk involved. Needless to say I am beside myself with disappointment, he can't even tell me when it can be rescheduled yet. He said he may even do me at another hospital in the area if they don't get this matter resolved at this hospital. I just cannot believe this.....I was so prepared and now I have to go through drinking that gross stuff again to "clean" myself out and fast all day. And I had work all arranged with coverage. I am just so bummed. Oh well, I just wanted to update you guys. I'll let you know when I hear more.

I am so sorry to hear that! I can only imagine the let down you must feel. I will be praying that things get resolved soon. Just think of all the weight you will continue to lose on the pre-op.

Today is day 6 of 14 day pre-op diet. I weighed this morning and I have lost 10.6 lbs. so far. I am pumped! At least that makes it worth while.

I will definitely let you guys know, and what really made me mad

is the Doc says I was trying to call you all morning was someone

on the computer. He tells me what number he tryed calling and the

number was to my Primary Care Physician and it was his fax # on top of it!!! I have only been to his office and that hospital a billion times in the last month or so and they don't have my telephone number?? So now I sit and wait.......ugghhh!

Oh Paulette, I would be soooooo hopping mad! I feel for you, I really do! Both myself and my mother got cancelled for a cardiac thing this past year (at seperate times) and had to go through the whole NPO thing again, GRRRRRRrrrr!

You have a bowel prep? Why? Makes little sense, they are working on your stomach, not your intestines...unless you have agreed to a bypass if they can't place the band for some reason. That would be the worst part of it for me. The freaking bowel prep. Do you have to do a pre-op diet again, too?

To me May Flowers is very feminine and it doesn't really suggest us doing anything. Shrinking Violets suggests losing weight. Though it is a lovely tag line, it just doesn't really make me motivated. I would also really rather have something that is less gender specific. May Poles is I guess the next best. I realize that my suggestion for Mayzie Daisies is pretty feminine as well, so I guess that would not work, either.

May Flowers is better to me than Mayflowers as that suggests a big ship that sailed to America, and though that suggests a search for a new life, we are an international site. That also makes me think of Thanksgiving, which in turn makes me think of loads of food. I know, my mind runs sometimes!

Do we have to have a name? Do the others have one? Perhaps May 2007 Bandsters is fine?

Just sort of thinking out loud.

Paulette,

I am so sorry!!! Hope you get a date real soon. I had to do the bowl prep also. It was not fun, but the doc said it would help afterwards with gas. I guess he was right. I have not had a very bad problem with it thus far. Hope everyone else is doing great. Good luck to all who are coming up.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
