  1. I am at about 195 and wear a 16W. 16 regulars will not work because of my "apron". I am 5'5". I lost all my weight as of February, then I think I got a fill that is too tight and now I eat a lot of sweets (they go down way easier). I am going in to get some fluid taken out.
  2. Nurseamy- I noticed you are in Texas. I am in the DFW area and was wondering who you PS was. We are about to start going to consults. I like your results. How long had you been at goal before your PS? Thanks!
  3. An example of a day for me would be: B-Protein shake (8oz. 1% milk, 1 scoop body flex protein, 1 banana) L-1 can tuna in water drained 1T lite miracle whip, 5 wheat crackers S-fruit or granola bar for snack D-1/3 grilled chicken breast, small salad, spoonful of veggies S-100cal. candy bar My days don't always go this good, but I really try to do this most of the time. I am going in for a fill on the 20th, so this will decrease a bit after that.
  4. Dr. JLo- First of all, I admire your work that I have seen on Big Medicine. I am such a fan! I have carried twins for 38 weeks (6.4 lbs. each), 19 months later had another c-section, all while having a pre pragnancy weight of 245. Needless to say I have quite an "apron". I feel comfortable with the way the rest of my body is shaping up through exercise. Okay so maybe I want some implants too. I have told myself that I wanted to be 170 before seeking out a PS. I am 5"5" and in a 18 (because I have to tuck in my stomach in my pants). The rest of me looks like a normal person now. It is hard to feel good about this much weightloss when I see that apron everytime I look in the mirror. How much weight in skin can be removed during a TT. When should I seek out a PS in your opinion? Can you recommend someone in DFW for a self pay? Thank you so much!

  6. My band has given me my life back! WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MY BAND: I am a much happier person. I am healthier! I have confidence. I have found that I enjoy working out. I know I deserve to have nice things (before I didn't think I did). I can wear my hubbys shirts and feel cute. I don't mind my picture being taken. Hubby can't keep his hands off me! I like to shop for clothes. Feel free to add to it!
  7. I love to put a banana in the chocolate protein shakes. YUMMMMM!
  8. Congrats on the loss of apron! I can't wait to get rid of mine. Do you have pictures of what you looked like pre-band and after your weight loss? I am so happy for you!
  9. Is Mossimo Australian? I bought some capris in that brand and got home all excited. Could put them on but I could not sit down. They are 22, but fit like 18's in most US brands. I was very sad. They are cute though, and when I can wear them I know I will have really accomplished something. I am 5'5" and started at a tight 24. Lost 38 lbs. and am now a loose 22. I am kind of discouraged that my midsection is the last place I am shrinking. My wedding ring is about to fall off. My tops are all to big, my bra straps show. Feet are getting skinny, my flip flops are all loose. Just not the pants........
  10. I love reading your posts! I am just starting my band journey, but mommatrammel you hit the nail on the head. Those are all things I look forward to. Thanks again! You are all an inspiration to me.
  11. I am rubbing it on the scars, they look really good so far. My doc was great!
  12. I use vitamin E oil. It has worked pretty good so far. I am about 17 days out. I have also heard the vitamin silica works well and omega 3 oils and fish oil vitamins. We will see!

My docotrs office told me that I could not expect to be at 138 which is what weight watchers says is the high side of what I should weigh. She said I should shoot for 160 at first. She said that once you have been overweight for awhile your body builds bone and muscle to support your heavier frame. It makes sense to me. I think the insurance will take whatever your doctor says is healthy!
  14. I use Dr. Watson at UT Southwestern. Pretty impressed so far. My surgery is the 17th of May.
  15. I was looking at your numbers, they are awesome! Can you tell me what you are eating in an average day. How much and what type of workout you do. I get banded on the 17th of May. I am praying that I can get great results too. I would love to see pictures! Thanks! Great job!
