May 2007 Banders

Recommended Posts

hey, i'm home & ok. more later.

go to tickerfactory.com and follow their directions. at the end they give you some information to copy. paste that into your signature area.

I tried but when I put it in as my signature in the edit page and then I save it just comes up as invalid file. I have tried the url and the copy and paste method......Thanks for your help. I will keep trying. I have ticker envy!!!!:cry

Metalband,

I had the same problems!! (you can go back several days and see all my questions!!) I went to TickerFactory, and I made sure I copied everything (the square parentheses and all...whatever they're called!) and pasted it under my name in the signature box (similar to the one I am typing in now for a quick reply). Then, save your signature, or preview it. I kept getting "invalid URL" , and then I had too many lines??? (I read somewhere you were only allowed 6 lines). Anyway, you have to copy everything in the bb code box, then paste it in your signature. Good luck! (it took me a week to figure it out!)

Hope everyone's doing well...it's so good to hear from everyone who has had their surgeries and is doing well.

Only 3 more days!! Whoo hoo!!

It's great to hear that all of you that have stepped into BandLand are doing well!

I like the name "May Flower", but understand that lack of meaning.

We'll come up with something. I do like that when you go to other threads it comes up! We could get away from the "May" part. Shrinking Violets, doesn't mention when their surgery was in the name. Did that make sense?

Good luck to the upcoming bandsters!

I have 2 weeks from yesterday!! WOOHOO! I have my 2hr. appt tomorrow with the nurse and anethesiologist (sp.) Then Thursday is my appt. with the Dr. and then labwork.

Time is just a ticking!!!

Ok, here's one idea for a logo/image.. If you wanted to use one.. I am trying to find something with a maypole, and transitition it with some stick figure guys/girls.. but I haven't found anything yet.. Let me know what you think. :)

I think I may need to make the wording darker or clearer.. I can add a slogan too... let me know.. Or we can still just be the 2007 Bandsters, that's cool too!! :biggrin1:

JerseyDori and Mischievous1,

All the best tomorrow! Will be thinking of you.

Hoping all our Tuesday bandsters are doing well!

Today's the first day that I haven't had to update the May calendar! I'm sure we will have a few more May bandsters before

the month is over. Nice to have such a great group to share the experience and encourage each other.

Cheers,

NimbleBean

How is everyone tonight? It is day 4 for me, and I am feeling more like I will survive. I wish I didn't feel hungry, but I guess that just goes with the process. My shoulder is still hurting. I am so confused on what I can and can't have that I am scared to do anything!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
