Mine have been crazy too! Especially the depression. When did you have your surgery? I had mine the end of september and Ill tell you what, the michigan winter did NOT help me at all. I dont feel any different. everyone keeps asking me if I feel better and I dont. I think I feel worse. I can see that I am losing the weight but my mental health is still the same as it was before if not worse.

I saw my meds doctor and told him whats been going on. I take 60mg of cymbalta and 10mg of abilify and he said that he doesnt want to put me on more medications because what I am on should be fixing the problem. so theres that.

keep in touch and let me know how you are doing.

Maybe it's decreased estrogen & more of a hormone thing? I had heard of this before but just got a reminder from other poster on diff thread that fat cells store the estrogen & as you lose weight, decreased fat along with decreased estrogen which amounts to mood swings, depression, hot flashes, increased perspiration, insomnia.

Also,if u can spend time outside, bundle up real good with extra clothing if cold temps, but get out & soak up some sunshine & we all know how good exercise makes us feel. Going out & taking a nice walk can be invigorating! Helps mentally & physically.

Get you a Victoria Secret catalog & start mentally shopping for all the gorgeous stuff you can eventually wear.

Most of all, find ways to help others, not a better feeling in the world, takes your mind off your " issues" & puts your attention on others...more happiness in giving than receiving.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
