It's been long journey so far and I realize the battle will never be over. I have an addictive personality and so many times I've said it's time to get serious only to fall back into old habits. I've lost 106 pounds and haven't lost an ounce in about 6 months. I'm happy with my weight now but according to "the norms" I should be at least 25 pounds lighter. I'm 5`8 and 190 pounds, wearing a size 12.

The problem is, I've started nursing school which is far more stressful than I could have ever imagined. I stress eat. Literally all day. I haven't gained any weight but we all know that won't last long. I'm probably losing muscle and from the lack of sleep and exercise, I'm exhausted! My health is going downhill and I feel fatigued and icky!

I signed back on to MFP today and deleted all my friends. I'm more honest this way. I'm going to track everything and analyze my habits. I want all the newcomers to know how easy it is to fall back into old habits. How important it is to make conscious decisions about what your eating every single day. WLS doesn't mean you'll be fail proof. After a year, its was really easy to eat around the sleeve. For me anyway.

Thank you so much for posting! You have had such great success and I really appreciate you sharing your struggles.

Getting back to basics sounds like a great idea - logging, making sure you get in your Protein and Water.

Networking with the folks on here will help as well.

I wish you good things!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
